Rather predictable result in Reykjavik where IR (2-1) defeated Breidablik (0-3) 92-82 on Friday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The best player for the winners was American forward Justin Martin (198-90, college: SMU) who scored 31 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American-Dutch Gerald Robinson (202-84, college: Tenn-Martin) chipped in 25 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Christian Covile (193-93, college: Adrian) who recorded 24 points and 6 rebounds and guard Hilmar Petursson (187-0) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Breidablik's coach Antonio d'Albero rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. IR will meet Skallagrimur (#7) in the next round. Breidablik will play against Haukar in Hafnarfjordur and hopes to get finally their first victory.
