Regular Season Round 3: Fjolnir - Snaefell 111-78

Fjolnir (2-1) crushed at home Snaefell (0-3) by 33 points 111-78, which is the biggest margin this round. The game was mostly controlled by Fjolnir. Snaefell was better in third quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Snaefell 52-32 including a 37-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Fjolnir players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Snaefell's players. It was a good game for American forward Anton Grady (203-92, college: Wichita St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Robert Sigurdsson (187-94) contributed with 21 points and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Fjolnir players scored in double figures. Fjolnir's coach Falur Hardarson felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward DJ Mason (198-94, college: Campbell) answered with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds and Lithuanian point guard Dominykas Zupkauskas (183-96) added 19 points, 5 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Snaefell. Fjolnir's next round opponent will be FSU (#7) in Selfoss. Snaefell will play at home against Hamar and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
