Regular Season Round 3: FoKoPo - Korikouvot 85-91

Very predictable result when Korikouvot (2-1) won against on the road Forssan Koripojat (0-2) 91-85 on Friday. Forssan Koripojat trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 22-16 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 85-91 at the end of the game. Korikouvot looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. It was a good game for the former international point guard Tuomas Hirvonen (181-96) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 7 rebounds and 15 assists. Forward Henri Permanto (197-1) contributed with 26 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Korikouvot players scored in double figures. American guard Isaac Williams (195-94, college: Miss.Valley St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import center Gilbert Talbot (208-94, college: LSU-Alexandria) added 27 points and 15 rebounds in the effort for Forssan Koripojat. Forssan Koripojat's coach tested eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Korikouvot will have a break next round. Forssan Koripojat will play at home against Jyvaskyla BA (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
