Regular Season Round 6: Charleville - ALS Basket 67-100

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked ALS Basket and 7th ranked Charleville-Mezieres had identical 2-3 record. But Charleville-Mezieres was not able to use a home court advantage and was crushed by the opponent from Andrezieux 100-67 on Friday night. ALS Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Charleville-Mezieres' players. Charleville-Mezieres was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for guard Bastien Tardy (195-94) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists. Congolese forward Charles Nkaloulou (199-94) contributed with 24 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four ALS Basket players scored in double figures. Coach Romain Tillon's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bosnian Nemanja Kovanusic (204-93) replied with 23 points and 8 rebounds and American power forward Jalen Henry (203, college: SIU Edwardsville, agency: Court Side) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Charleville-Mezieres. ALS Basket (3-3) moved-up to seventh place in Group A. Charleville-Mezieres lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. ALS Basket will face higher ranked Saint Vallier (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Charleville-Mezieres will play against Sorgues BC and hope to win that game and get promotion back to the ProB just one year after relegation.
