An interesting game took place in Uusikaupunki where Joensuun Kataja (1-1) was upset on the court of UU-Korihait (1-4) 88-80. The hosts were already 13 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 25-20 Joensuun Kataja's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 88-80 at the end of the game. It was a good game for American guard Mario Edwards (191-88, college: Co.Carolina) who led his team to a victory with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. His fellow American import forward Brandon Conley (201-93, college: ORU) contributed with 12 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five UU-Korihait players scored in double figures. Canadian power forward Ryan Wright (206-87, college: Oklahoma) answered with 15 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson (198-91, college: Temple) added 15 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Joensuun Kataja. Joensuun Kataja's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. UU-Korihait's next round opponent will be Kouvot (#9) in Kouvola and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
