Regular Season Round 3: Angeles - Libertadores 82-85

A very close game took place in Puebla between Libertadores and Angeles. Libertadores (2-2) got a very close victory on the road over Angeles (0-4). Libertadores managed to escape with a 3-point win 85-82 on Saturday evening. Libertadores dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Angeles' 28. It was an exceptional evening for American forward Reggie Larry (198-86, college: Boise St., agency: Pro Sports) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Nigerian-American George Williams (198-90, college: Wayland Baptist) accounted for 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Williams is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American guard Tomas Sanchez (190-91, college: Idaho St.) came up with 10 points and 8 assists and Puerto Rican forward Carlos Lopez-Sosa (208-90, college: UNLV) added 16 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) respectively for Angeles in the defeat. Four Angeles players scored in double figures. Angeles' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Libertadores will meet at home Panteras (#5) in the next round. Angeles will play against Aaguacateros in Michoacan and hope to get finally their first victory.
