There was a surprise result when fifteenth ranked Burgos (2-3) won against at home higher ranked Leche Rio Breogan (1-3) 92-76 on Saturday. The game without a history. Burgos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. American forward Deon Thompson (203-88, college: N.Carolina, agency: BeoBasket) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). Uruguayan point guard Bruno Fitipaldo (183-91, agency: Pro Sports) contributed with 12 points and 5 assists for the winners. Argentinian point guard Lucio Redivo (183-94) answered with 17 points and Jamaican center Jerome Jordan (215-86, college: Tulsa) added 13 points in the effort for Leche Rio Breogan. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Burgos moved-up to eighth place, which they share with 7 other teams. Newly promoted Leche Rio Breogan dropped to the sixteenth position with three games lost. Burgos will face league's second-placed Real Madrid on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
