Rather expected game when 9th ranked Recy Saint-Martin (2-4) lost at home to sixth ranked Besancon (4-2) 85-74 on Saturday. Besancon forced 20 Recy Saint-Martin turnovers. It was a good game for Lithuanian forward Rokas Uzas (202-88) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 16 rebounds. Guard Gerald Guerrier (188-93) contributed with 13 points and 8 assists for the winners. Four Besancon players scored in double figures. American forward Dwight Burke (202-86, college: Marquette, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with 16 points and 8 rebounds and Nigerian-American swingman Ebuka Anyaorah (193-90, college: N.C.Central) added 19 points in the effort for Recy Saint-Martin. Besancon moved-up to fifth place in Group A, which they share with Saint Vallier. Recy Saint-Martin at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. Besancon will face league's second-placed Souffelweyersheim on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Recy Saint-Martin will play against SO Maritime Boulogne (#9) in Boulogne-sur-Mer and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
