Regular Season Round 5: Sant Josep - Sant Adria 93-84

There was an upset in Badalona where second-ranked Sant Adria (3-2) was defeated by fourteenth ranked Sant Josep (1-3) 93-84 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was American forward Seth Goodman (198-88, college: S.Wesleyan) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Guard Francesc Pascal (188-85) chipped in 21 points. Guard Enric Nogales (187-94) produced 17 points and center Antonio Ruiz (202-87) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Sant Josep left bottom position moving up to eleventh place in Group C-B. Loser Sant Adria dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. Sant Josep will face higher ranked SESE (#6) in Barcelona in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Sant Adria will play at home against Castelldefels and hope to win that game.
