Regular Season Round 1: Aishin AW - Chanson V-M 78-80

Another exciting game took place in Anjo where Chanson V-M (1-0) edged by two points Aishin Wings (0-1) 80-78. Aishin Wings were very close to get their first win. But it seems they have to wait a little bit longer. Chanson V-M made 31-of-37 charity shots (83.8 percent) during the game, while Aishin Wings only scored eight points from the stripe. They outrebounded Aishin Wings 49-34 including 21 on the offensive glass. Aishin Wings were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Sanae Motokawa (175-92) who helped to win the game recording 29 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international center Rika Tanimura (185-93) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Center Baiq Ghua (185-92) answered with 17 points and 6 rebounds and Kiho Miyashita (179-98) added 13 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Aishin Wings. Four Aishin Wings players scored in double figures. Aishin Wings' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Chanson V-M will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Aishin Wings will play again at home against Chanson V-M (#1) to get more than just one victory in their record.
