Regular Season Round 3: Aros Patatas - Mataro Parc 76-62

The most surprising game was a loss of Mataro Parc (2-1) in Leon on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Aros Patatas (2-0) 76-62. It was a good game for American forward Dekeiya Cohen (188-96, college: Baylor) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Marta Canella (178-95) contributed with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Four Aros Patatas players scored in double figures. American guard Judy Jones (175-90, college: Grand Canyon) answered with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and center Olga Ruano (191-88) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Mataro Parc. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aros Patatas is looking forward to face Real Celta Vigo on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Mataro Parc will play against Barca CBS (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
