Angers used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Toulouse 76-72 on Saturday night. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Angers outrebounded Toulouse 38-21 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American forward Shenita Landry (190-87, college: Temple) stepped up and scored 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Canadian-Serbian forward Stephany Skrba (188-87, college: Michigan) chipped in 11 points and 13 rebounds. Angers' coach David Gautier allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. At the losing side German power forward Svenja Greunke (188-89) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and forward Maud Stervinou (175-97) scored 12 points and 4 assists. Angers will face La Glacerie (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Toulouse will play against Charnay and hope to win that game.
