Regular Season Round 4: SMS PZKosz - Notec Inowr. 72-101

Very expected game in Wladyslawowo where bottom-ranked SMS PZKosz (0-4) was rolled over by seventh ranked Notec Inowr. (2-2) 101-72 on Saturday. Notec Inowr. dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to SMS PZKosz's 34. Notec Inowr. forced 24 SMS PZKosz turnovers and outrebounded them 42-26 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Mateusz Bierwagen (195-88, agency: Promotex) fired 21 points for the winners (made all of his seven free throws). Center Wojciech Zurawski (202-76) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field). Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Notec Inowr. moved-up to fifth place in Group A, which they share with Arka II and Gniezno. Loser SMS PZKosz still closes the standings with four games lost. Notec Inowr. will face Gniezno (#6) at home in the next round. SMS PZKosz will play against Arka II (#5) in Gdynia and hopes to get finally their first victory.
