Everything could happen in Krakow at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Polfarmex and 10th ranked AZS AGH KR had identical 2-2 record. But AZS AGH KR was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Kutno 86-75 on Saturday night. Polfarmex made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Point guard Patryk Gospodarek (184-94, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up and scored 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and forward Pawel Nowicki (201-92) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Polfarmex's coach Jaroslaw Krysiewicz used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Iwan Wasyl (193-97) responded with 21 points and point guard Tomasz Zych (185-87) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Polfarmex. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Enea Astoria and STK Czarni. Newly promoted AZS AGH KR dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. Polfarmex will face Gornik (#8) in Walbrzych in the next round. AZS AGH KR will play on the road against Pruszkow and hope to win that game.
