Regular Season Round 7: Gunma - Shinshu BW 74-88

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Gunma. Leader Shinshu BW faced 3rd placed Gunma. Guests from Nagano (8-0) defeated host Gunma (4-4) 88-74. American Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) fired a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners. His fellow American import center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds. American forward Thomas Kennedy (201-87, college: Detroit Mercy) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Masashi Obuchi (182-83) added 12 points and 7 assists respectively for lost side. Four Gunma players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Shinshu BW. They maintain first place with 8-0 record. Loser Gunma keeps the third position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
