They outrebounded Aix-Maurienne 40-22 including a 30-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Entente Orleans 45 looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Nigerian-American forward Michael Fakuade (201-89, college: Ill.-Springfield) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks. American point guard Brandon Jefferson (175-91, college: Metro St., agency: Inception Sports) chipped in 16 points and 8 assists. Five Entente Orleans 45 players scored in double figures. American guard DJ Richardson (190-91, college: Illinois, agency: Inception Sports) produced 16 points and 4 steals and naturalized Algerian Karim Atamna (196-80) added 10 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Entente Orleans 45 will meet Gries/Oberhoffen (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Aix-Maurienne will play against Saint Chamond and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
