There was a surprise result when fifteenth ranked Nanterre (2-4) beat on the road higher ranked Boulazac (3-3) 77-61 on Saturday. Nanterre dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Boulazac's 20. Nanterre forced 20 Boulazac turnovers and outrebounded them 38-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Ukrainian swingman Rostyslav Novitskyi (203-0) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Armand Mensah (182-99) contributed with 18 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winners. Forward Dylan Affo-Mama (196-99) replied with 30 points and forward Mylfusse Damba (200-98) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Boulazac. Nanterre moved-up to twelfth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Boulazac dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Nanterre will face higher ranked Le Mans (#7) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
