Regular Season Round 4: KFUM Blackeberg - Norrort 81-90

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Vallingby. Top-ranked Taby Basket faced 3rd ranked KFUM Blackeberg. Guests from Taby (3-0) defeated host KFUM Blackeberg (2-2) 90-81. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of KFUM Blackeberg. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 22-15. But KFUM Blackeberg won second period 25-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Taby Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to KFUM Blackeberg's 32. They outrebounded KFUM Blackeberg 50-36 including a 44-27 advantage in defensive rebounds. The winners were led by forward Kasper Adolfsson (193-95) who scored that evening 24 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Gustaf Tjernberg (198-99) supported him with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Taby Basket's coach Anders Lemmeke allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists by swingman Daniel Persson (198-91) did not help to save the game for KFUM Blackeberg. Forward Leonard Cooks (190-92) added 19 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Five KFUM Blackeberg players scored in double figures. Taby Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Akropol. KFUM Blackeberg at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. Taby Basket's next round opponent will be Sundsvall (#8) at home and are hoping to win another game. KFUM Blackeberg will play against Jamtland II (#9) in Ostersund and hope to win that game.
