Regular Season Round 2: GOCOR-Sozh - COR-Borisfen 56-85

The game in Gomel supposed to be also worth to mention about. COR-Borisfen (3-0) played at the court of GOCOR-Sozh (0-3). COR-Borisfen smashed GOCOR-Sozh 85-56. The game was mostly controlled by COR-Borisfen. GOCOR-Sozh was better in third quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding GOCOR-Sozh to just 3 points in fourth quarter. COR-Borisfen dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to GOCOR-Sozh's 20. They outrebounded GOCOR-Sozh 39-25 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Starr is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. COR-Borisfen's coach Andrei Krivonos felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Even 19 points and 7 rebounds by guard Timofey Verevkin (185-93) did not help to save the game for GOCOR-Sozh. Guard Denis Yarets (188-89) added 11 points for the hosts. COR-Borisfen's next round opponent will be Grodno-93 at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. GOCOR-Sozh will play against Tsmoki II (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
