Regular Season Round 5: Zentro Basket - Pozuelo 98-89

There was no surprise in Madrid where bottom-ranked Pozuelo (0-5) was defeated by fourteenth ranked Zentro Basket (2-3) 98-89 on Saturday. Pozuelo was plagued by 33 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Montenegrin point guard Pavle Titic (191-0) who scored 23 points. Guard Ismael Herrero (188-96) chipped in 13 points and 4 assists. Four Zentro Basket players scored in double figures. Guard Borja Lopez (187-93) produced 23 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and power forward Daniel Busto (203-92, college: Ohlone CC) added 23 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Zentro Basket moved-up to eighth place in Group B, which they share with Rivas and Lanzarote. Pozuelo at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with five games lost. Zentro Basket's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Madrid to the arena Estudio.
