Regular Season Round 4: Pistoia - Spezzina 47-61

There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Pistoia (0-4) lost at home to top-ranked Spezzina (4-0) 61-47 on Saturday. Spezzina outrebounded Pistoia 41-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. Quite impressive performance for Croatian guard Lana Packovski (170-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 8 rebounds and 11 assists. The former international guard Elisa Templari (175-89, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Guard Simona Giglio-Tos (166-90) replied with 9 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and power forward Serena Bona (181-89, agency: SPORTlab Agency) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Pistoia. Pistoia's coach Stefano Tommei rotated ten players saving starting five for next games. Spezzina moved-up to third place in A2. Newly promoted Pistoia still closes the standings with four games lost. Spezzina will face Faenza (#4) at home in the next round. Pistoia will play against Forli (#13) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
