Very expected game when 10th ranked Carugate (1-3) was smashed by top-ranked Costa Masnaga (4-0) in Corugate 75-48 on Saturday. Costa Masnaga forced 20 Carugate turnovers. It was a very good performance for forward Angelica Tibe (180-96) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 8 rebounds. Power forward Giulia Rulli (184-91, agency: SPORTlab Agency) contributed with 12 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Costa Masnaga players scored in double figures. Croatian center Lorena Molnar (194-98, agency: AgainHello) replied with 7 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Giulia Maffenini (175-92, agency: Two Points) added 14 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Carugate. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Costa Masnaga maintains second position in A2 with 4-0 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Alpo VF. Loser Carugate dropped to the twelfth place with three games lost. Costa Masnaga will face Albino (#14) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Carugate will play against Vicenza and hope to win that game.
