Rather predictable result in Kolobrzeg where ninth ranked Enea Astoria (3-2) defeated 13th ranked Kotwica (1-4) 77-73 on Sunday. They outrebounded Kotwica 40-29 including 30 on the defensive glass. Kotwica was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Lukasz Frackiewicz (205-96) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds for the winners and the former international swingman Grzegorz Kukielka (191-83) chipped in 13 points. Jakub Zalewski (184-86) responded with 17 points and point guard Jakub Stanios (180-94) scored 13 points. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Enea Astoria moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Polfarmex Kutno and STK Czarni. Loser Kotwica keeps the thirteenth position with four games lost. Enea Astoria will face Pogon Prudnik (#9) at home in the next round. Kotwica will play against WKK Wroclaw (#4) and hope to win that game.
