Regular Season Round 4: Kagoshima - Saitama Bron. 88-82

The most important game in the last round took place in Renova between third ranked Saitama Broncos (4-4) and tenth ranked Kagoshima (1-5) on Sunday night. Saitama Broncos were defeated by Kagoshima in a tough game on the road 82-88. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Saitama Broncos. Kagoshima dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Saitama Broncos' 36. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Antone Warren (208, college: Antelope Valley CC) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 9 rebounds and Kenta Tateyama (188-90) who added 14 points and 6 assists during the contest. Four Kagoshima players scored in double figures. At the losing side American Darnell Martin (198-91, college: CS Dominguez H.) responded with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 25 rebounds and 6 assists and naturalized American point guard Samuel Sawaji (186-90) scored 21 points. Kagoshima left bottom position moving up to seventh place. Saitama Broncos at the other side keep the third position with four games lost. Kagoshima are looking forward to face higher ranked Tokyo Cinq R. (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Saitama Broncos will have a break next round.
