Regular Season Round 3: Happy Casa BR - Banco di Srd 84-90

We should mention about the upset which took place in Brindisi, where Happy Casa BR (1-2) lost at home to Banco di Srd (2-1) 84-90 on Sunday. Banco di Srd made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Banco di Srd outrebounded Happy Casa BR 43-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for American power forward Jack Cooley (206-91, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Terran Petteway (198-92, college: Nebraska) helped adding 19 points and 8 rebounds. Banco di Srd's coach Vincenzo Esposito used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was American point guard Wes Clark (183-94, college: Buffalo) with 33 points (!!!) and American-Israeli Adrian Banks (191-86, college: Arkansas St.) scored 11 points and 4 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Banco di Srd will meet at home Fiat TO (#5) in the next round. Happy Casa BR will play against Pistoia Basket (#16) and hope to win that game.
