Regular Season Round 8: Fukushima - Hiroshima D. 73-84

An interesting game for Dragonflies (8-0) which played road game in Fukushima against 4th ranked Fukushima (3-5). Top-ranked Dragonflies managed to get a 11-point victory 84-73. Dragonflies made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Dragonflies had a 28-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. The best player for the winners was point guard Hiryu Okamoto (170-93) who scored 26 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. American power forward Jamari Traylor (203-92, college: Kansas) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Five Dragonflies players scored in double figures. American power forward Evan Ravenel (204-89, college: Ohio St.) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import center Chris Brady (208-95, college: Monmouth) added 11 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Dragonflies have an impressive seven-game winning streak. Newly promoted Dragonflies maintains first position with 8-0 record, which they share with Shinshu BW. Fukushima at the other side dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. Dragonflies' next round opponent will be league's second-placed Kumamoto V. at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Fukushima will play against the league's second-placed Cyberdyne IR in Tsukuba and hope to win that game.
