Regular Season Round 7: San-en - Ryukyu GK 60-91

An interesting game for Ryukyu GK (6-1) which played road game in Hamamatsu against 4th placed San-en NeoPhoenix (1-6). First ranked Ryukyu GK had an easy win 91-60. Ryukyu GK made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. American players dominated the game. It was a very good performance for forward Josh Scott (208-93, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points and 12 rebounds. Forward Jeff Ayres (206-87, college: Arizona St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Forward William McDonald (206-79, college: Grambling St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and center Shaquille Morris (203-94, college: Wichita St.) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for San-en NeoPhoenix. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Ryukyu GK maintains first place with 6-1 record, which they share with Toyota Alvark and Tochigi Brex. San-en NeoPhoenix lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Ryukyu GK will face Osaka Evessa (#4) at home in the next round. San-en NeoPhoenix will play against the league's second-placed Toshiba Thunders in Kanagawa and hope to win that game.
