Regular Season Round 4: Granada - Real Canoe 87-60

Very expected game when 13th ranked Real Canoe (1-3) was rolled over on the road by fifth ranked CB Granada (3-1) 87-60 on Sunday. CB Granada dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Real Canoe's 34. CB Granada forced 19 Real Canoe turnovers and outrebounded them 39-22 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Center Sergio Olmos (213-86, college: Temple) fired 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Power forward Devin Wright (202-86) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Five CB Granada players scored in double figures. Jose-Miguel Perez (202-96) produced 18 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Alvaro Lobo (192-92, agency: Duran International) added 11 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. CB Granada moved-up to second place, which they share with 4 other teams. Real Canoe at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the thirteenth position with three games lost. CB Granada will face Barca II (#16) in Barcelona in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Real Canoe will play on the road against Araberri in Vitoria-Gasteiz and hope to win that game.
