The game between Jazine (2-1) and Kvarner (1-2) in Zadar on Sunday ended with biggest points difference. Jazine outscored guests from Rijeka 95-74. The game was mostly controlled by Jazine. Kvarner managed to win fourth quarter 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Jazine forced 19 Kvarner turnovers. It was a quality performance for point guard Josip Gulam (188-95) who led the winners and scored 21 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. American swingman Preston Bungei (198-95, college: Norfolk St.) accounted for 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side. Four Jazine players scored in double figures. Power forward Mate Vucic (203-97) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 15 rebounds and swingman Matija Bilalovic (200-97) added 19 points respectively for Kvarner in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Jazine will meet at home Bulldogs (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kvarner will play against Borik Puntamika (#4) and hope to win that game.
