Regular Season Round 4: Inter Bratislava - Rieker KN 86-62

The game had a very big importance for fourth-ranked Inter Bratislava as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (Levice) loss. Inter Bratislava smashed 6th ranked Rieker KN at home 86-62. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Michal Batka (204-87) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Arik Smith (185-93, college: Cal Lutheran) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Four Inter Bratislava players scored in double figures. Inter Bratislava's coach Oliver Vidin felt very confident that he used 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Dayon Goodman (203, college: Westminster, UT) replied with 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Croatian power forward Nenad Delic (210-84) added 16 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Rieker KN. Inter Bratislava have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Prievidza. Rieker KN lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with three games lost. They share the position with Handlova. Rieker KN will play next round against strong Prievidza trying to get back on the winning streak. Inter Bratislava will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Levice on the road.
