Regular Season Round 4: Wisla Krakow - Arka Gdynia 56-67

Date: October 21, 2018
The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Wisla Krakow (2-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by Arka Gdynia (4-0) 67-56. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Wisla Krakow. Worth to mention a great performance of American Emma Cannon (190-89, college: Cent.Florida, agency: LBM Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points and 11 rebounds and German power forward Sonja Greinacher (190-92, college: Gonzaga) who added 10 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American center Mercedes Russell (198-95, college: Tennessee) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and her fellow American import point guard Jordin Canada (168-95, college: UCLA) scored 11 points. Wisla Krakow's coach Krzysztof Szewczyk rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Arka Gdynia have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with CCC Polkowice. Wisla Krakow at the other side keeps the fifth place with one game lost. They share the position with Gorzow Wlkp. and Energa Torun. Arka Gdynia is looking forward to face Sleza Wroclaw (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Wisla Krakow will play against MKK Siedlce and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
