Regular Season Round 1: B.Yehuda - Holon 59-123

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of B.Yehuda (0-1) in Tel Aviv on Monday night. Hosts were rolled over by Elitzur Holon (1-0) 123-59. Elitzur Holon dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to B.Yehuda's 38. Elitzur Holon forced 22 B.Yehuda turnovers and outrebounded them 50-27 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Elitzur Holon looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by B.Yehuda's players. American forward Jordan Hooper (188-92, college: Nebraska) fired a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds (on 14-of-17 shooting from the field) for the winners. Her fellow American import forward Shae Kelley (185-91, college: Minnesota) chipped in a triple-double by scoring 26 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Five Elitzur Holon players scored in double figures. Elitzur Holon's coach felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. International Noa Zelivanski (171-96) produced 19 points and American guard Linnae Harper (173-95, college: Ohio St.) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Elitzur Holon is looking forward to face Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion (#4) at home in the next round. B.Yehuda will play against Maccabi Ramat Gan in Ramat Hen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
