We should mention about the upset which took place in Yiwu, where Blue Whales (1-2) lost to Golden Bulls (2-1) in a road game 77-84. Golden Bulls made 29-of-35 charity shots (82.9 percent) during the game, while Blue Whales only scored eight points from the stripe. 25 personal fouls committed by Blue Whales helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for Wanli Dan who led the winners and scored 34 points (!!!). American center Alaina Coates (193-95, college: S.Carolina, agency: ProDep Management) accounted for 22 points and 14 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winning side. Belarusian center Yelena Leuchanka (196-83, college: W.Virginia) came up with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Xuetong Zhao (185-94) added 25 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Blue Whales in the defeat. Golden Bulls' next round opponent will be Flame (#13) in Taiyuan and are hoping to win another game. Blue Whales will play against Wuhan and hope to win that game.
