Important game to mention about took place in Stjarnan. Fifth ranked Stjarnan (3-2) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Haukar (2-3) 61-58 on Wednesday evening. Haukar was ahead by 5 points at the halftime before a 23-13 third quarter run of Stjarnan. They also forced 20 Haukar turnovers. American guard Danielle Rodriguez (178-93, college: Utah) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). International center Ragnheidur Benonisdottir (185-94) contributed with 4 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Stjarnan's coach Petur Sigurdsson allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American swingman Lele Hardy (182-88, college: Clemson) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 15 rebounds and international point guard Thora Jonsdottir (171-97) added 13 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Haukar. Stjarnan moved-up to third place, which they share with Keflavik. Defending champion Haukar dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Skallagrimur and Valur.
