Rather expected game in Tsukuba where 5th ranked Fukushima (3-6) was defeated by second ranked Cyberdyne IR (6-3) 65-59 on Wednesday. American power forward Carl Baptiste (208-90, college: Delaware) stepped up and scored 20 points and 8 rebounds for the winners and guard Yuji Takahashi (183-91) chipped in 12 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. The best for the losing side was American center Chris Brady (208-95, college: Monmouth) with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds and the other American import power forward Evan Ravenel (204-89, college: Ohio St.) scored 17 points and 8 rebounds. Fukushima's coach Tomohiro Moriyama rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Cyberdyne IR maintains second place with 6-3 record behind leader Shinshu BW, which they share with Shimane SM and Tokyo Z. Fukushima lost their third game in a row. They keep the fifth position with six games lost. Cyberdyne IR will face Gunma (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Fukushima will play against Nishinomiya S. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
