Regular Season Round 5: Suchy Las - Tarnovia 79-60

Everything could happen in Poznan at the game between two tied teams. Both eighth ranked Suchy Las and 9th ranked Tarnovia had identical 1-2 record. This time Suchy Las used a home court advantage and outplayed the opponent from Tarnowo Podgorne 79-60 on Wednesday night. Tarnovia was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Power forward Andrzej Krajewski (202) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 19 rebounds. Dawid Gruszczynski (195-97) contributed with 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Suchy Las players scored in double figures. Point guard Bartlomiej Gubernat (185-94) answered with 14 points and Piotr Janowski (195-93) added 13 points in the effort for Tarnovia. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Suchy Las (2-2) moved-up to seventh place in Group A. Loser Tarnovia dropped to the tenth position with three games lost. Suchy Las will face league's second-placed Pelplin in Pelpin in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tarnovia will play on the road against Domino Inowr. (#4) in Inowroclaw and hope to win that game.
