Regular Season Round 5: AZS UJK Kielce - Wisla Krakow 74-78

Another exciting game for Wisla Krakow (4-1) which played on the court of 3rd placed AZS UJK Kielce (3-2). Fifth ranked Wisla Krakow won 78-74. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of AZS UJK Kielce. It was a key game for the second position in Group C. Forward Wojciech Gorgon (194-89) stepped up and scored 28 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners and Jan Rerak (198-97) chipped in 15 points and 10 rebounds. Piotr Osiakowski (197-92) responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and forward Marcel Kapuscinski (199-97) scored 7 points and 9 rebounds. AZS UJK Kielce's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Wisla Krakow have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to second place in Group C, which they share with Polonia Bytom. AZS UJK Kielce at the other side dropped to the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Wisla Krakow will play against MKS DG 2 (#13) in Dabrowa Gornicza in the next round which should be an easy win for them. AZS UJK Kielce will play on the road against Tarnowskie Gory (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
