Sixth-ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (1-7) gave a tough game to second ranked Toyota Alvark (7-1) in Tokyo on Wednesday. The visitors managed to secure only one-point victory 62-61. However their fans expected much easier game. Toyota Alvark made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Toyota Alvark outrebounded Hitachi Sunrockers 43-29 including 33 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American center Alex Kirk (211-91, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds. Montenegrin-Serbian power forward Milko Bjelica (207-84, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds.
