There was a small surprise when ninth ranked Cecina (2-3) defeated at home 9th ranked Piombino (3-2) 73-67 on Wednesday. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Senegalese Samuel Gaye-Serigne (198-96, agency: Players Group) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds and the former international forward Mario Gigena (198-77) who added 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Francesco Fratto (200-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Alessandro Procacci (184-94) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Cecina maintains ninth position in B with 2-3 record, which they share with 5 other teams.
