Regular Season Round 5: Pleszew - Turow 90-68

Very predictable result when fourth ranked Pleszew (3-1) rolled over at home bottom-ranked Turow (0-4) 90-68 on Wednesday. Pleszew dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Turow's 26. They outrebounded Turow 34-23 including 28 on the defensive glass. Mikolaj Spala (189-93) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals. Point guard Alan Urbaniak (185-85) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Guard Pawel Jaros (188-98) answered with 15 points and 4 assists and guard Lukasz Zubel (180-97) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Turow. Four Turow players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pleszew have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place in Group D with 3-1 record. Newly promoted Turow still closes the standings with four games lost. Pleszew will face league's leader AZS PO in Opole in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Turow will play at home against Sudety (#8) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
