Regular Season Round 5: Breidablik - KR 66-73

Leader KR delivered the fourth victory. This time they beat bottom-ranked Breidablik (0-5) 73-66 in Kopavogur. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 18-8. But Breidablik won third quarter 13-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KR made 20-of-25 charity shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Strangely Breidablik outrebounded KR 46-31 including 37 on the defensive glass. American guard Kiana Johnson (171-93, college: Virginia Union) nailed a double-double by scoring 26 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and Irish forward Orla OReilly (185-90) accounted for 19 points and 5 rebounds. American guard Kelly Faris (180-91, college: Connecticut, agency: LBM Management) came up with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists and international forward Isabella Sigurdardottir (184-97) added 12 points and 14 rebounds respectively for Breidablik in the defeat. Four Breidablik players scored in double figures. KR have a solid series of three victories in a row. Newly promoted KR maintains first place with 4-1 record, which they share with Snaefell. Breidablik at the other side still closes the standings with five games lost.
