An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Keflavik. Third ranked Keflavik faced 4th placed Valur. Host Keflavik (3-2) defeated guests from Reykjavik (2-3) 77-69. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 27-17. But Valur won third quarter 23-8. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Keflavik made 20-of-24 free shots (83.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Valur turnovers. American guard Brittanny Dinkins (170-94, college: S.Mississippi) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winners and forward Embla Kristinardottir (170-95) chipped in 10 points. Keflavik's coach Jon Gudmundsson used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Slovakian forward Simona Podesvova (186-83) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and American guard Brooke Johnson (183-96, college: UNLV) scored 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Valur players scored in double figures. Keflavik have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 3-2 record behind leader KR, which they share with Stjarnan. Loser Valur dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Haukar and Skallagrimur.
