Regular Season Round 4: Vicenza - Desio 101-98

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Vicenza (4-1) edged at home 14th ranked Desio (2-3) 101-98 on Thursday. However just three-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Vicenza dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Desio's 32. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Andrea Campiello (200-87) who helped to win the game recording 26 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian center Diego Corral (204-86, agency: Interperformances) who added 19 points and 14 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side power forward Giovanni Lenti (200-96) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists and naturalized Dominican guard Daniel Perez (187-97) scored 28 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Vicenza maintains third position in B with 4-1 record behind leader Faenza. Loser Desio dropped to the ninth place with three games lost. Vicenza will face Olginate (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Desio will play against Padova and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
