Undefeated Bahrain Youth (0-1) recorded its first loss on the court of eleventh ranked Sitra on Thursday night. Visitors were defeated by Sitra 69-57. Sitra outrebounded Bahrain Youth 53-36 including a 42-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Senegalese center Mansour Kasse (208-92) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points, 31 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 blocks for the winners. The former international guard Hussain Taqi (173-78) chipped in 23 points and 8 assists. Mustafa Husain produced 24 points and Mozamel Ameer added 5 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Bahrain Youth's coach rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Sitra (1-2) left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with Isa Town and Al-Nweidrat. Newly promoted Bahrain Youth still closes the standings with one game lost. Sitra is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Samaheej (#13) in Manama in the next round where they are favorite. Bahrain Youth will play on the road against Al-Bahrain in Manama and hopes to get finally their first victory.
