Regular Season Round 7: Orchies - GET Vosges 71-90

The game between third ranked Orchesien BC (5-2) and fourteenth ranked GET Vosges (1-6) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Orchesien BC was crushed by GET Vosges in Orchies 90-71. GET Vosges forced 23 Orchesien BC turnovers. It was a great evening for naturalized Mali point guard Ibrahima Sidibe (180-95) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 5 assists. American forward Rodney Williams (201-93, college: Drexel) helped adding 12 points and 9 rebounds. GET Vosges' coach Laurent Mathis used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Jamaican Ricardo Alliman (201-87, college: Cedarville) responded with 23 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Arnaud Kerckhof (193-84) scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. GET Vosges left bottom position moving up to twelfth place in Group A, which they share with Aubenas and Kaysersberg. Orchesien BC at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. They share it with Saint Vallier and Sorgues BC. GET Vosges is looking forward to face higher ranked ALS Basket (#7) in Andrezieux in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Orchesien BC will play at home against the league's second-placed Souffelweyersheim having rather not much hope for a victory.
