Regular Season Round 4: Snaefell - Hamar 60-86
Date: October 26, 2018
Undefeated leader Hamar delivered the fourth consecutive victory. This time they crushed bottom-ranked Snaefell (0-4) 86-60 in Stykkisholmur. The game was mostly controlled by Hamar. Snaefell was better in fourth quarter 23-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Snaefell to just 7 points in first quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Everage Richardson (191-85, college: Co.Carolina) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 5 rebounds (on 12-of-15 shooting from the field). Florijan Jovanov (197-91) contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American forward DJ Mason (198-94, college: Campbell) replied with 21 points and 9 rebounds and Lithuanian point guard Dominykas Zupkauskas (183-96) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Snaefell. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Hamar have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Snaefell at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with FSU. Hamar will play against Thor AK (#3) in Akureyri in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Snaefell will play on the road against FSU (#7) in Selfoss and hopes to get finally their first victory.
