Regular Season Round 4: Mogi - Brasilia 97-82

Date: October 26, 2018
Bottom-ranked Brasilia is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their fourth consecutive match to fifth ranked Mogi (3-1) 97-82 on Friday evening. Mogi made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. Mogi outrebounded Brasilia 39-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by the former international guard Guilherme Pereira (190-91) who scored that evening 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international power forward Joao-Paulo Batista (205-81, college: Gonzaga) supported him with 24 points and 7 rebounds. Four Mogi players scored in double figures. Even 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists by the former international point guard Welington Dos-Santos (185-81) did not help to save the game for Brasilia. Pedro Mendonca (194-95) added 15 points for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players saving starting five for next games. Mogi moved-up to third place, which they share with Franca and Paulistano. Newly promoted Brasilia still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with B.Cearense. Mogi will meet league's second-placed Flamengo in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Brasilia will play against Paschoalotto/Bauru (#12) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
