Very predictable result in Michoacan where top-ranked Aaguacateros (3-0) outscored bottom-ranked Angeles (0-5) 96-70 on Friday. Aaguacateros shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Eduardo Gonzalez (-89) fired 10 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. American point guard Tyrone White (201-90, college: CSU Bakersfield) chipped in 18 points. Puerto Rican forward Carlos Lopez-Sosa (208-90, college: UNLV) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and American guard Tomas Sanchez (190-91, college: Idaho St.) added 11 points and 11 assists respectively for lost side. Five Aaguacateros and four Angeles players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Aaguacateros maintains second position with 3-0 record having five points less than leader Capitanes. Newly promoted Angeles still closes the standings with five games lost. Aaguacateros will face again Angeles (#7) in Puebla in the next round where they are favorite.
