Regular Season Round 7: Lourdes - Toulouse 73-82

Very expected game when 12th ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (2-5) was defeated at home by third ranked Toulouse (5-2) 82-73 on Friday. Lourdes-Tarbes was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American-Haitian point guard Cliff Colimon (182-89, college: E.Washington) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points. Naturalized Guyanese Mike Joseph (203-94) helped adding 14 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side point guard Kevin Thalien (190-92) responded with 20 points and guard Tom Foucault (189-94) scored 23 points (made all of his seven free throws). Four Lourdes-Tarbes players scored in double figures. Lourdes-Tarbes' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Toulouse. They moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with Bordeaux and Lorient. Loser Lourdes-Tarbes keeps the twelfth position with five games lost. Toulouse will face La Charite (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Lourdes-Tarbes will play against JSA Bordeaux and hope to win that game.
