Regular Season Round 3: Niigata R. - JX-Eneos S. 44-101

JX-Eneos S. (4-0) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed Niigata R. (0-4) in Tokyo 101-44. The game without a history. JX-Eneos S. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Niigata R.'s 30. JX-Eneos S. forced 19 Niigata R. turnovers and outrebounded them 52-24 including a 22-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. JX-Eneos S. looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when JX-Eneos S. made 7 blocks. It was a great evening for international forward Yuki Miyazawa (182-93, college: Queens, NY) who led her team to a victory scoring 18 points. The former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (193-91) helped adding 15 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Five JX-Eneos S. players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Inoue Ai (172-90) with 12 points and 7 rebounds and forward Saki Iijima (172-92) scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
